William Levy, Maggie Civantos to Headline Secuoya Studios’ Action Rom-Com ‘Bajo un Volcán’
Filming in the Canary Islands, the feature continues the Levy-Secuoya production alliance started in 2022 with ViX's TV drama 'Montecristo.'
Spain’s fast-growing Secuoya Studios has re-teamed with Cuban-North American actor-producer William Levy(“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”) for the action romantic comedy film “ Bajo un volcán,” directed by Hugo Martín Cuervo. The feature tells “a story of forbidden and ill-timed love, whose passion is framed in the midst of the eruptive activity of a volcano, in a simile of the relationship between two people as opposite and shocking as two tectonic plates in continuous friction,” reads a Secuoya Studios press release. Teaming with Adolfo Blanco’s indie production-distribution company A Contracorriente Films, they recently released Hugo Martín Cuervo’s dramatic comedy “La Bandera” and are preparing the launch on June 28 of the sci-fi movie “Invasión,” directed by David Martín-Porras.
