William H. Macy gushes about his Shameless co-star Jeremy Allen White: 'I'm really proud of him'
A decade before he became a household name as Carmy in FX's The Bear, Jeremy Allen White was best known as Lip Gallagher on Showtime's Shameless.
White, 33, played Lip, the son of William H. Macy's Frank Gallagher on the hit Showtime series, which ran 11 seasons from 2011 to 2021. The ads - which debuted in January - featured White wearing only Calvin Klein underwear while posing atop a New York City rooftop. White is also proving to be a star on the big screen as well, earning rave reviews for his performance as Kerry Von Erich in A24's The Iron Claw.
