Earlier this year, Simon Cowell revealed he was on the hunt for One Direction and scoured the country for the next big boy band.
In a clip filmed by MailOnline during an early screening of The Voice, Will.i.am appeared very confident about his choices in singers as he revealed that he remembers 'winning' this years show. The music mogul, 64, put together One Direction's Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan , Liam Payne and Zayn Malik on 2010's The X Factor Simon had plans for the search to appear in a Netflix documentary called The Midas Touch -but was reportedly told to give up and come to the terms that the 'era of the chart-topping boyband is over'.
