Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same hallowed dojo once inhabited by the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub, and all the amazing original cast members. Josh, Jon and Hayden added that it was always their intention to end Cobra Kai “on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we’ve always imagined.” In July 2024, the creators revealed that they were thinking of a prequel series about Daniel LaRusso’s ( Ralph Macchio) sensei, Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita, who died in 2005), as well as other spinoff ideas.
