Will Smith has not released a full-length album in nearly 20 years, but on Thursday he took the stage in Los Angeles for a surprise performance of his 1991 hit song Summertime.
The 55-year-old entertainer — who performed a new song at the BET Awards this year — joined singer Coco Jones, 26, at an event celebrating season three of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Ai r spinoff, which is simply titled Bel-Air. Banks, 26, portrays main character Will in the show, which is set in modern times and explores his 'complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.' The third season synopsis states, 'Being a part of the Banks family has given him a new perspective – it isn’t just about wealth, it means that Will now has options to lean into other things that excite him and has the privilege to dream bigger.'
