Will Ferrell to Be Feted With Kirk Douglas Award at Santa Barbara International Film Festival
Will Ferrell will be awarded the 17th annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the 40th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
The prestigious award, which benefits Santa Barbara International Film Festival ‘s year-round educational programs, will be presented to the comedian and actor of “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” “Barbie,” “Step Brothers,” “The Office” and many others. Since its inception, the production company has been credited with films like “Hustlers,” “Booksmart,” “May December,” “Theatre Camp,” “Spirited” and “Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar.” Past honorees include Ryan Gosling, Michelle Yeoh, Martin Scorsese, Hugh Jackman, Judi Dench, Warren Beatty, Jane Fonda, Jessica Lange, Forest Whitaker, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Harrison Ford, Quentin Tarantino, Ed Harris and John Travolta.
