Will Ferrell jokes about John Krasinski as PEOPLE's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive after he launched his own failed campaign to be chosen for the honor: 'I don't get it.'

The actor and comedian appeared on Tuesday's episode of Today to chat about his new movie You're Cordially Invited, where co-host Savannah Guthrie reminded him that he spoke about the campaign on the very stage last year. Ferrell has shared the screen with PEOPLE's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive recipient, cameoing on a few episodes of Krasinski's The Office as Deangelo Vickers, the new Dunder Mifflin branch manager after Steve Carell's departure. Ferrell previously told PEOPLE at the New York premiere of Despicable Me 4 that he was "planting the seeds" to be crowned Sexiest Man Alive.
