Will ‘Bridgerton’ Still Pair Benedict and Sophie After Gender-Swap Twist?
'Bridgerton' showrunner Jess Brownell discussed whether they will include Benedict's book love interest, Sophie, after introducing gender-swapping as a concept
Based on Julia Quinn‘s novels of the same name, the series began with the love story of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page). The last episode, however, also dropped a major hint about Benedict’s future when his sister Eloise ( Claudia Jessie) mentioned their mother’s masquerade ball. The historical drama, which premiered in 2020, focuses on the members of the wealthy Bridgerton family as they search for love in 19th century London.
