Wildfire Eco Thriller ‘Lume’ Swooped on by ZDF Studios (EXCLUSIVE)
ZDF Studios will introduce at Mipcom the wildfire ecothriller, already backed by Max, the Council of Europe, RTP and TVG.
Produced by Lisbon’s Coral Europa and Setemedia in Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia, the six-part suspense drama is set at a hamlet, Seara, on the Portugal-Galicia border as a massive forest fire blazes and journalist Lucía investigates. “The series has all the ingredients to be a successful production, both due to the proven talent of the teams involved and the script, which is set against the backdrop of a theme that is rare but appealing from a fictional standpoint: Forest fires,” added TVG Program Director Fernando R. Ojea. ZDF and national Spanish state TV RTVE partnered notably on Magellan adventure epic “Boundless,” directed by “Con Air’s” Simon West and starring Alvaro Morte and Rodrigo Santoro, and most lately on light crime procedural “Weiss & Morales,” which will be a focus of a panel this Mipcom in its Spain Country of Honor strand.
