Wicked and Sonic the Hedgehog: 3 broke a couple of box office records over the weekend. Sonic remained in the top spot its second week in theaters, pulling in a solid $38 million.
Babygirl, the very adult movie starring Oscar winner Nicole Kidman entered the box office contest in seventh place with nearly $4.4 million. The erotic thriller opened in 2,115 theaters, but received a poor response from movie goers who gave it a 53-percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes as compared to the critics much warmer 77-percent score. The fact-based sports drama starring Ryan Destiny as boxer Claressa 'T-Rex' Shields has been a success with critics and audiences alike and earned $2.03 million over the three day weekend
