Why Tina Arena's iconic hit Chains sounded VERY different during her AFL Grand Final duet with Katy Perry - after her show drew a humiliating comparison and left Aussies fuming

The Aussie superstar, 56, made a brief appearance in front of the 100,000-strong crowd for a medley of Katy's hit I Kissed A Girl and her own track Chains.

Not long before her AFL gig, Tina announced she had teamed up with Shouse's Jack Madin and Ed Service to rerecord her vocals and release Chains as a dance mix. Tina is not the first star to remix their hit as she has followed in the footsteps of Elton John, who famously released Cold Heart with Dua Lipa and Aussie dance trio Pnau. Tina previously sparked controversy with her disapproval of the very strict Victorian Covid-19 lockdowns and incited anger when she revealed she broke the rules to resist what she called a 'totalitarian' system.
