Why Terry Crews Sees Himself in Shedeur Sanders and His 2025 NFL Draft

Terry Crews reflects on Shedeur Sanders' 2025 NFL Draft experience, comparing his own draft journey and career switches to the young QB's story

Shedeur was the talk of this year’s NFL Draft — the former University of Colorado, Boulder quarterback and son of football legend Deion Sanders was passed over in the first round (where he was expected to be selected). “I love what the Browns have done this offseason, but if I’m a young QB, ain’t no way I’m going to Cleveland,” he wrote in a tweet posted in 2018, evoking Eli Manning, who famously refused to play for the team who drafted him in 2004. It’s no secret that athletes such as Tom Brady, Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers love football — but there are also plenty of stars who enjoy rooting for their favorite teams from the sidelines.
