Why Judy Finnigan gave up her Queen of Daytime TV crown: Star, 75, has last laugh swapping primetime for pub lunches and looking after grandkids on retirement while Richard Madeley goes 'full Alan Partridge' on GMB

Jud has shied away from spotlight and after having made just a smattering of TV appearances over the years, in 2018 it was announced that she had retired.

Why Judy Finnigan gave up her Queen of Daytime TV crown to retire in peace while husband Richard Madeley continues to present (pictured after a pub lunch in Hampstead on Tuesday) She is grandmother to Ivy, 10, and Eden, six - who are the children of her twin sons Dan and Tom from her past marriage to David Henshaw - as well as Bodhi, 21 months, the daughter of their Chloe Madeley and her husband James Haskell. Beloved by viewers, they helped the show cinch a slew of National Television Awards, including the time Judy accepted the gong at the 2000 ceremony with her bra accidentally exposed.
