Why James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ Movie Won’t Be At San Diego Comic-Con 2024

As San Diego Comic-Con 2024 opens its doors, DC Studios has decided not to feature Superman. Here’s why James Gunn and Peter Safran skipped the event.

During the interview, Safran elaborated on the studio’s strategy, emphasizing the importance of delivering a strong impression with DC’s initial foray into the revamped Superman saga. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world. The movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and many others.
