Grantchester star Tom Brittney, who plays the lead role of Reverend Will Davenport, will leave the ITV crime drama at the end of season nine - here's everything we know

He's become a fan favourite of the show solving crimes and keeping the village in order, but it was confirmed last year that Tom will hang up his vicar's cloak at the end of season nine. Directed by Seth Gordon, filming began in March last year and wrapped in late April, but a release date is yet to be announced.
