Experts have yet to signal any alarm bells that this strain throws up anything unexpected but the UK's Health Security Agency revealed today that there were 18,000 flu-related deaths over the past two winters and jab uptake has fallen. With a 30% rise in Covid cases reported in that same week, Professor Lawrence Young, a virology expert from Warwick University, told the i newspaper: "There are a lot of people suffering from runny noses and coughs at the moment.
