Aubrey O’Day claimed that former boss Sean “Diddy” Combs tried to control her appearance and was rarely sober while she was a member of Danity Kane. “It’s not that she was singing things out of her ability, it’s that she just had grown up in a time in the music industry where people just loved to see Debbie Gibson do anything,” O’Day explained, noting she was taught never to cover other artists who could outperform her.
