Why 'The Pitt' Won't 'Necessarily' Show Collins Pregnant After Miscarriage

Season 1 of The Pitt, which premiered in January, started a 15-hour shift in the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital with Collins’ secretly celebrating a pregnancy via IVF. The medical drama, which premiered in January 2025, highlighted the highs and lows of working in emergency medicine with an unconventional approach — 15 episodes that showcase 15 hours of one shift. There’s a line in the show where Collins says, ‘The risks are not the same as they are for you.’ Originally that was written a little differently and my hat off to [creator] R. Scott Gemmill, he listened to what my thoughts were on the situation.
