Whoopi Goldberg's producer daughter Alex Martin, 51, insists she is NOT a nepo baby - and claims she had to audition for her role in her mom's movie Sister Act 2 'just like everybody else'
Alex, 51, is Whoopi's only child but she claims she didn't get a role in the 1993 movie Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit simply because of who her mother is, and laughed off the term 'nepo baby.'
During an episode of The View last month, Whoopi was discussing Jeff Goldblum's recent comments about how he doesn't want his two kids to rely on his $40 million fortune, when she confirmed exactly where her money will end up. Celebs like Ashton Kutcher and Gordon Ramsay said they don't plan on leaving money for their kids...' and then burst out laughing. Whoopi, who was 19 when she gave birth in May 1974, has previously admitted that she chose her acting career over her daughter because she felt her shot at fame 'would never happen again' - and she elaborates on this further in her new book.
