Whoopi Goldberg said she was ‘lucky’ to be friends with late actors Robin Williams and Christopher Reeve and said she found them inspiring

The strikingly handsome, larger-than-life actor believed he was simply doing work that needed to be done, living with purpose and passion, both before and after a horrific equestrian accident left him paralyzed. Williams died by suicide in August 2014 after years of battling depression and anxiety and being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
