Whoopi Goldberg Gets Emotional After ‘Sister Act 2’ Cast Performs on ‘The View’

The ‘EGOT’ winner welcomed past cast-members as well as current students from LaGuardia High School to perform ‘Joyful, Joyful’ on her talk show.

Much of the episode was dedicated to a reunion commemorating the classic Sister Act 2’s 30th anniversary, and after performing one of the musical’s standout songs, Whoopi started crying. Producers also gathered as many actors who had played the students in the film as they could and brought in young rising performers from LaGuardia High School to fill out the chorus.
