ITV's new drama Until I Kill You continues to fascinate viewers as they learn more about the victims of serial killer John Sweeney - including what really happened to his third victim, Paula Fields
The chilling series is based on the memoirs of agency nurse Delia Balmer, who miraculously survived horrific domestic abuse and a petrifying axe attack on her doorstep by construction worker John. John held Delia captive, binding her to the bed for four days, after admitting to the murder of his ex-girlfriend Melissa Halstead in Amsterdam, whom he dismembered and discarded in the canal. At his 2011 sentencing, which he did not attend, opting to stay in his cell at Belmarsh prison, Judge Mr Justice Saunders stated that such heinous crimes warranted nothing less than a lifelong incarceration without parole.
