Who Is the Real Bolter in Taylor Swift’s ‘TTPD’ Track?

Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ song ‘The Bolter’ seemingly references real-life socialite Idina Sackville

Idina earned a reputation for flaunting social mores in the era during and after World War I, because of her numerous divorces as well as her penchant for doing things like letting her party guests watch her get dressed. The Green Hat was adapted into the 1928 film A Woman of Affairs starring Greta Garbo, but the book was considered too risqué in the United States and references to it were removed to avoid clashing with the censors.
