The White Lotus' Sam Nivola explained why his character, Lochlan Ratliff, used a dirty blender that led to his near-death experience during the season 3 finale.

The White Lotus season 3 finale included three deaths, as well as one near-death experience when Sam Nivola ’s character, Lochlan Ratliff, used a blender with a poisoned piña colada to make a smoothie. During the season 3 finale on Sunday, April 6, Ratliff patriarch Timothy (played by Jason Isaacs) used the blender to make poisoned piña coladas to give to all of his family members except Lochlan. Chelsea died when she caught a bullet, and Rick also had a tragic ending when Gaitok ( Tayme Thapthimthong) shot him in order to protect Jim’s wife, Sritala ( Lek Patravadi).
