Last autumn, countless viewers were hooked on E4 reality show Married at First Sight UK, when a new batch of lovelorn singles agreed to take part in an experiment to see if a panel of experts could help them to find their matching other half. Bizarrely, despite the obvious tension between them, the couple decided to continue in the experiment after the first commitment ceremony, but things soon took an awkward turn when a game of spin the bottle revealed that Porscha had kissed one of the other grooms - something which proved to be too much for Terence to handle. In one particularly memorable scene, Brad told his wife to “shut up” while attending a dinner party, and when called out by the experts, decided to defend his actions and play up his own redemption arc by declaring how he was “allowing” Shona to feel how she felt, rather than acknowledging that she was an autonomous person in her own right that didn’t need his permission or approval.
