Which Doctor Who questions will FINALLY be answered? From why the Time Lord didn't try to defeat Villengard in 'Boom' to the mystery woman making cameos in all episodes

Series One of the 15th Doctor's tenure kicked off earlier this month, delighting fans - who are already bursting with burning questions.

Saturday's episode Boom left some fans with a lingering question - why The Doctor didn't try to defeat the full systems of evil Villengard rather than just saving the one small group of Anglican Marines. The episode saw The Doctor reveal to Anglican Marine Mundy Flynn, interestingly played by his next companion Vasada Sethu, that their blind faith in following orders had resulted in them being sent to fight a non-existent war on an uninhabited planet. His companions Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and the returning Melanie Bush (Bonnie Langford) ran over to support him as he regenerated, with fans expecting that to be the end for David's character.
