Ridley Scott’s first Roman Empire film, starring Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix and Connie Nielsen, will be available to stream on Prime Video starting Nov. 1. Ridley Scott’s 2000 film focused on Russell Crowe’s Maximus, a former Roman General who seeks revenge against the corrupt emperor who killed his family and sent him into slavery. Gladiator won five Oscars in 2001, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Russell Crowe, Best Costume Design for Janty Yates, Best Sound for Scott Millan, Bob Beemer and Ken Weston and Best Visual Effects for John Nelson, Neil Corbould, Tim Burke and Rob Harvey.
