Almost 30 years on since Keeping Up Appearances came to an end, we take a closer look at where the cast are now, from royal honours and tragic deaths to iconic soap roles
Following the immense success of the show in the UK, the series also gained a fan following in other corners of the globe, such as the USA, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland and Belgium. During her glittering career before her retirement, Patricia also played an amateur detective in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates and starred in the dramatic monologue BBC series Talking Heads by playwright Alan Bennett. Away from the series, Judy went on to star in a number of other hit TV shows including Midsomer Murders and Birds of a Feather, but her most iconic role has to be playing Heather Trott ’s mum Queenie in BBC soap EastEnders.
