The docuseries, which was released on June 20, follows the elite Texas cheerleading squad and reveals the darker side of the highly competitive culture.

The series details the rigorous audition process aspiring cheerleaders go through to bag their space on the team of 36, including passing a written football knowledge test, attending prep classes and proving their perfect dance moves. The firm set of guidelines dancers have to abide by are also revealed, with many focusing on looks - such as staying the same weight, keeping their makeup 'natural' and maintaining their long flowing locks. During her time on the show, Caroline (left) was a recent DCC retiree who continued to work closely with the team and mentored her younger sister and hopeful Anna Kate (right)
