Wheelhouse Takes Investment From Jeff Bewkes & Kevin Tsujihara’s Alignment Growth
Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse has some new investors. It marks Wheelhouse’s first outside capital raise since Mongtomery, who sold 80% of Pawn Stars producer Leftfield Entertainment to ITV for $360M in 2014, founded in 2018. The deal was spearheaded by Tsujihara, the former Warner Bros. CEO and Chairman who stepped down in 2019 due to alleged sexual misconduct, Wheelhouse President & General Counsel Rob Lia and Chief Strategy Officer Ed Simpson, who leads M&A. Montgomery said, “We are building Wheelhouse as a collective of global creatives who not only shine on their own, but truly want to partner with one another across labels and divisions so we’re thrilled that Alignment’s investment will allow us to supersize our efforts engaging talent in front of and behind the camera.”
