News of the star's casting in a new Christopher Nolan film led to speculation that the potential clash in filming schedules could led to another delay in the long-awaited final season.
The insider noted that news of Zendaya's star-studded new project did cause some concern for staffers on the production, who have seen the show's return pushed back on multiple occasions since February 2022. Elsewhere, a separate source explained how director and showrunner Sam Levinson has been all hands on deck with the script for the final series - despite calls for him to expand his writer's room to avoid some previous criticisms of the season two plot as well as his widely-panned project, The Idol.
