Jennette got her start as a child star in Nickelodeon’s iCarly, Sam & Cat, Zoey 101, True Jackson, VP and Victorious. In her memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette broke down the years of alleged abuse she faced at the hands of mother Debra McCurdy. “I’ve been so touched by how much the emotional thrust of the story has connected with people, which I see as being my relationship with my mom,” Jennette said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after the book was released in 2022.
