Keith McNally’s New York life is the stuff of dreams: A hungry young transplant arrives in the big city, falls in with the right crowd, and leaves a dent in the universe. McNally is now 73, and while a stroke suffered in 2016 has made it difficult for him to speak, he’s nevertheless funneled his sharp voice and a rabble-rousing disposition through the written word that primarily manifests on his Instagram account, which is frankly among the best gossip columns in New York. The man returns to the spotlight once again with a memoir, I Regret Almost Everything, which came out last month, and to mark the occasion, we reached out over email to get a sense of whether he’s a podcast guy.
