What happened to Bobby on Tracker? The character's absence was explained in the second half of season 2, as his cousing Randy was brought onto the team.
“Bobby is dealing with some family stuff, but he wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging,” Randy told Colter during the episode. After their playful exchange about the candy, Colter told him he needed assistance with a case regarding a guy who killed several people and kidnapped a girl. CBS released a clip from the episode titled “Shades of Gray,” which showed Randy once again making himself acquainted with Bobby’s tech setup.
