Wetherspoons shares list of pubs in UK set to close as more go under offer

Wetherspoons has been forced to close more than a dozen pubs already this year

Iconic pub chain J D Wetherspoon seems to be shaking things up as it's rumoured that buyers are circling around a slew of venues, including signature spots in Swindon, Edinburgh, and St Ives. In a triumphant rebuttal to any whispers of distress, Wetherspoons has just launched an impressive 'super pub' in Newcastle, with two additional openings slated for next month, including The Lion and The Unicorn in London's bustling Waterloo station. Barid's Department Store in Hamilton (an underdeveloped site), The Quay in Poole, and several Wetherspoons locations including The Sir Daniel Arms in Swindon, Hain Line in St Ives, and Foot of the Walk in Leith are all said to be 'under offer'.
