Wendy Williams Claims She Passed Mental Competency Evaluations 'with Flying Colors' After Being Escorted to Hospital by NYPD

Wendy Williams appeared on the March 11 episode of 'Good Day New York' after NYPD officers escorted her out of her assisted living facility the day prior. She revealed that she passed mental competency exams conducted by the hospital "with flying colors" amid her conservatorship battle.

She went on to say that her hope is to be released from her conservatorship — which was put in place in 2022 — so she can live a normal life again, which would include “staying in New York” and “going back to work.” Monterrosa later revealed that she was the one who originated a report with Adult Protective Services alleging elder abuse and she also called the NYPD for a welfare check on Williams. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that she was then escorted out of the building, and EMS transported her in an ambulance to a local hospital “for evaluation.”
