Weezer Will Celebrate 30th Anniversary of the ‘Blue Album’ With an Arena Tour

Weezer announced that they will be heading on tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut LP, also known as the Blue Album.

The group announced the run of shows with an astronaut-themed video that sees all four members —Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner — walking in slow-motion onto a spaceship. The band is expected to play the iconic LP, which includes singles “Undone,” “Buddy Holly,” and “Say It Ain’t So,” in full, along with fan-favorites and rarities. “Released in 1994, it’s the geeky, equally angsty little brother of Pearl Jam’s Ten and Nirvana’s Nevermind, somehow both more sincere and more ironic than its predecessors, and in some ways bolder in its disregard for the old rules of rock,” read a review of the LP.
