Weezer bassist Scott Shriner's wife, Jillian Lauren, underwent cancer surgery just weeks before being arrested in a police shooting incident
“I’d like to thank the Academy, my amazing hair and makeup team, and the lighting designers here at #glendaleadventisthospital,” Lauren, 51, wrote via her Instagram on March 4, sharing a pre-op selfie in a hospital bed. Lauren, 51, was shot and injured by police in April 2025, after pointing a handgun at officers from the front yard of her home in LA’s Eagle Rock neighborhood, the LAPD said in a statement. “My husband Scott and I had a long and circuitous road to parenting, including the whole painful infertility thing,” the true-crime author recalled on the Motherhood Later blog in 2015.
