Weather maps turn blue as Beast from the East roars towards UK
UK weather maps have turned blue and white as the Beast from the East is set to batter the country in the coming days, with snow, rain and plummeting temperatures expected
This Arctic blast will bring icy weather to the north, Scotland and Northern Ireland - but the south will escape the freezing conditions and instead enjoy temperatures up to 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the country, reports the Daily Star.
