Wayne Rooney has opened up on life at his Cheshire mansion, revealing that one of his four sons had a costly accident when he crashed a £3K golf cart into one of the estate's lakes

In a candid chat with Gary Neville on The Overlap recently, Wayne revealed that his investment in a golf cart for zipping around the grounds took a turn when one of his boys drove it straight into a lake. The family have lived in their Cheshire abode since 2021His return to English football saw him take the reins at Birmingham City, but his tenure was short-lived, lasting just 83 days. "Taking this role at Plymouth Argyle feels like the perfect next step in my career and I would like to thank the chairman and board for the faith they have shown in me," Rooney said last month, following the announcement of his appointment.
