Waxahatchee Drops Single ‘Mud,’ Joins Outlaw Fest Lineup

Waxahatchee released "Mud," her first release of 2025, just after being announced as one of the performers of the touring Outlaw Festival.

On Tuesday, Katie Crutchfield, who’s behind the indie musical project, released the new single “Dirt” as it was announced that she’ll join the touring Outlaw Fest. As for her addition to the Outlaw Music Festival, Waxahatchee will join the stacked lineup led by Dylan and Nelson in September, including stops in Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. And after a string of indie rock albums (2013’s Cerulean Salt, 2015’s Ivy Tripp, and 2017’s Eye in the Storm), Crutchfield went back to the drawing board for a new sound.
