Waterloo Road, about a troubled comprehensive school set in Rochdale, Lancashire, helped put her sister Phoebe, 29, on the map 16 years ago when she secured the role of Siobhan Mailey. These roles have led her to hobnob with the great and the good of American showbusiness and earlier this month Phoebe who recently covered Porter magazine — made a fashion-forward appearance at a screening for her new film Inheritance in New York City. And, tracing further back, their grandmother Shirley was also a TV star, playing a key role in the 1959 BBC crime drama Charlesworth before featuring in a range of shows including Scotland Yard and Armchair Theatre.
