Watch Waxahatchee Perform ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ on ‘Fallon’
Waxahatchee appeared on 'The Tonight Show' to perform her recent song "Much Ado About Nothing."
The track arrived alongside a video directed by Anna St. Louis featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the artist on the road, from lighthearted moments before taking the stage to Crutchfield strumming her guitar on an empty sports field. The song was released to celebrate the musician joining the forthcoming touring Outlaw Fest, which will also feature Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and Bob Dylan. In a Rolling Stone review ofthe LP, writer Rob Sheffield called the singer-songwriter a “master storyteller” who is “fully aware she’s on a hot streak.” He continued, “She sings about adult romance, struggling for sobriety, the day-to-day work of holding it together—in the poetic voice of a Lucinda Williams who came of age playing DIY punk-house basement shows.”
