Watch the Avett Brothers Showcase Songs From Self-Titled LP for ‘Saturday Sessions’

The Avett Brothers showcased songs from their new self-titled album during a visit to CBS Mornings’ Saturday Sessions.

Fresh off releasing their first album in five years Friday, the folk act performed the three songs that comprise the middle section of the nine-track LP: “Orion’s Belt,” “Country Kid,” and “Forever Now.” Like its predecessors — stretching from 2009’s I and Love and You to 2019’s Closer Than Together — The Avett Brothers finds the band reuniting with longtime collaborator and producer Rick Rubin, who steers the group in surprisingly happier directions on their 11th studio LP of original music. “Continuing another tradition — replacing their acoustic instruments with electric ones — the Avetts are also eager to demonstrate they’re boys who just want to have fun too,” Rolling Stone wrote in our review of the LP.
