Watch Morgan Freeman Duet ‘Let’s Stay Together’ With Al Green

Morgan Freeman rung in 2025 by performing a duet of "Let's Stay Together" with Al Green from his blues bar in Mississippi.

Morgan Freeman surprised the patrons at his Mississippi bar Ground Zero on New Year’s Eve by joining music legend Al Green onstage for a rendition of “Let’s Stay Together.” The Oscar winner — dressed in a white turtle neck and black jacket — took the stage to sing a few notes from the classic, 1971 song. Freeman said he was working on a new restaurant in the town, but met a couple who were “looking for someplace to hear some blues,” so he and his business partner decided to open a club that played the genre.
