Flavor Flav ‘s official Olympic hype-man duties included personally greeting Dr. Jill Biden at the U.S. women’s water polo match Saturday (July 27). The Public Enemy musician has been with the women’s water polo team since the Olympics kicked off Friday (July 26) following a theatrical four-hour opening ceremony on the Seine, which included an aquatic parade of nations and an inventive cauldron lighting. Flav — who has signed a five-year sponsorship deal for both the men’s and women’s U.S. water polo teams — first started backing the female athletes in May after coach and three-time gold-medal-winning captain Maggie Steffens called for support on social media.
