Watch Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy make her movie debut in new trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King
Both Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy star in Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to 2019’s live action reimagining of the blockbuster Disney animated movie The Lion King
As well as Blue Ivy, the movie features a wealth of recognisable characters and celebrity voices, including Seth Rogen as warthog Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as meerkat Timon, Donald Glover as Simba, and Mads Mikkelsen as Kiros, a white lion with plans for his own pride to be the dominant one. The new poster for Mufasa shows young cub Taka, and the reflection of the lion he grows up to be, Scar (Image: DISNEY)While it marks Blue Ivy’s acting debut, Beyonce’s daughter had already carved out a name for herself in the entertainment industry, despite being only 12 years old. Mufasa: The Lion King is due for release in cinemas on 20 December, and is directed by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins, who made the acclaimed movie Moonlight and the romantic drama If Beale Street Could Talk.
