Wasserman Taps Providence Equity Executive Steve Murray To Lead M&A, Strategy
Wasserman has hired Steve Murray as EVP of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy. He joining from private equity giant Providence Equity Capital.
Providence took a significant equity investment in Wasserman in 2022 and Murray has worked with the company on key transactions in recent years. “Steve’s nearly fifteen years of experience sourcing, structuring and executing highly complex and transformative transactions, paired with his deep knowledge of the sports, music and entertainment industries globally, are a perfect match for our business as we look to accelerate our pace of acquisition in this next leg of our growth,” said Wasserman CFO Elena Rochelli. Prior to Providence, Murray worked in the mergers & acquisitions group for Citi, where he was involved in transactions totaling several billion dollars.
