Warner Music board member Val Blavatnik explains his relationship with new Atlantic Music Group CEO Elliot Grainge and the changes in the business.
In the summer of 2006, Madonna touched down in New York for a run of shows at Madison Square Garden in support of her album Confessions on a Dance Floor. A dozen years later, Val made good on his childhood dream, starting as senior director of business development at Warner Chappell Music. Learning about publishing from Guy [Moot] and Carianne [Marshall] was invaluable, and I’ve been very fortunate to work with Tom [Corson] and Aaron [Bay-Schuck] on signing two young acts we’re very passionate about.
