Warner Bros. To Turn Over Russell Brand Outtakes In Ongoing Lawsuit

The studio's cooperation comes days after Brand was criminally charged with rape and sexual assault in the U.K.

Discovery reportedly told a New York Supreme Court judge last week that they would turn over hours of previously unseen footage from the production of the comedy remake. In 2023, a woman identified as Jane Doe sued both Brand and the studio, alleging the British actor exposed himself to her on set and then followed her into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her while a crew member stood guard at the door. Warner Bros. intends to provide courts hours of outtake footage in relation to a civil sexual assault suit against the studio and actor Russell Brand, seen here in 2017.Jeremy Selwyn via Getty Images
